Frequency Asked Questions

 

Google maps shows our location accurately, enter in ‘Tetbury Pilates’:

●   The address is 10 Chavenage Lane GL8 8JW but this will likely take you to the road beyond – so google maps is best option to see exact location. Please note the studio is in a residential area and has no signage.

●   From the centre of Tetbury proceed up Long Street towards the Avening/Nailsworth direction.

●   At the top of the high street turn left onto Hampton Street, passing Top Banana Antiques on your left (this feels almost like you are going straight on) then take second left onto Chavenage Lane. You can park anywhere on the street along here. Then walk down the lane on your left just after Five Trees Close which is on the right. 

●   It is mainly gravel and the studio is past 5 cottages, right at the very bottom. There is usually a large white van parked at the end of the driveway.

Please wear comfortable clothing and ensure there are no zips that could tear the upholstery of the apparatus, such as zips at the back the waistband on leggings. Please also bring a pair of clean socks for your workout.

We have an App so you can book or cancel  your own classes and manage your payments and class passes.

Open Momence App and log in with your e-mail address. It will ask for your password – click ‘forgotten password’ and it will send an email to reset your password. 

Go to your emails and follow the link to create your password. Go back to the app and put in your new password. It will then display a home page for your Momence app. 

Using the App

At the top by ‘Your hosts’ is a light blue ’Tetbury Pilates’ logo. Lower down is your upcoming sessions or classes that are booked. This may or may not be populated depending on if any have already been booked by us.

If you have not yet visited the studio then you will need to create a profile.

Open Momence App and create your log in by following the prompts.  It will then display a home page for your Momence app. Bottom right press’ account’, by manage hosts press ‘add host’, disregard the ‘find hosts near you’ and click ‘do later’, search for Tetbury Pilates. Click Tetbury Pilates when it comes up and continue. Go back to home page.

Using the App

At the top by ‘Your hosts’ is a light blue ’Tetbury Pilates’ logo. Lower down is your upcoming sessions or classes that are booked. This may or may not be populated depending on if any have already been booked by us. 

Click logo symbol at the top. This takes you to the Tetbury Pilates section of the app. Momence is used by many studios so you may also see their logos under ‘Your Hosts’. You will see Main / Classes / Membership along the top. 

Main –  details your upcoming classes/private sessions (also details past)

Membership – As you have no packs active the top line will be Subscriptions and the top one should be ‘8 class (valid 10 weeks)’. Press the buy bar in purple. This takes you to a payment sequence where you enter card details etc and buy your pass. It is for 8 sessions and starts the moment the first class you use it for starts, not at the time you buy it. So if your class starts at 10:00am, it will run out at 9:59am 10 weeks later. On the home page on the app now it will show you your active pass with how many credits/sessions you have left and the expiry date (reminder that it runs out 10 weeks to the minute and not at the end of the day).

To book – click on the classes tab or click ‘See the schedule’. Select a class from the list (please ensure it’s at a level that matches your experience). If there are spaces then click the book now tab in purple, click membership tab, so you use a pass from your set, continue. If you have no credits remaining on your pass or are paying as you go then you can buy a single class pass or a new membership. 

If the class is full it will give the option of joining a waitlist. You will be automatically moved into the class when a space becomes available and send you email notification.

To cancel – on the first page or on our app main page you have your upcoming classes/sessions. Find the class you want to cancel by scrolling across. Click cancel. Done. (reminder 24hrs notice cancellation or a session will be used)

●  Cancellation policy in all cases is 24 hours or the full amount is payable.

●  Please could we ask you give as much notice as possible with cancellations. So if you know you will be away let us know by cancelling on the app (classes) or emailing at your earliest convenience. 

How classes work

Three options re classes:

1) Book yourself in and pay as you go: £25 per class

2) Buy a pass with 8 sessions (valid for 10 weeks) and book yourself in £20 per class

3) I can make an ongoing reservation for you in your preferred class. This works well if you will make most of the classes. You must remove yourself from any you cannot attend. You would buy the 8 session pass as option 2 above. Then 48 hours before class starts the system will pull a credit from your pass to pay for the class. £20 per class.

Cancellation policy in all cases is 24 hours.

Studio Owner and Lead Instructor. Teaching since 2009, Clare adores the breadth of application of Pilates. She works with a wide variety of clients from rehab to world class athletes and is passionate about empowering people to discover the enormous benefits to moving well and feeling better in their bodies and minds. Clare’s group classes are always set at a challenging level with a focus on technique and really feeling the exercise.

Neil is a STOTT trained Pilates instructor having trained on the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Matwork. His background is 16 years as a pilot in the RAF and 7 years commercial flying. Sitting on long flights with a lack of mobility has caused back pains together with a lack of tone and strength, and pilates has changed the way he lives and feels. He focuses on movement and lengthening your body to help your day to day routines.

As a trained dancer and dance teacher with over 10 years experience working within the arts, Erin has always had a love for moving which has led her to Pilates. As well as being an experienced Pilates Instructor, Diane is a qualified Aromatherapist and Sports Massage Therapist. Since certifying with Stott Pilates in 2012 Di has enjoyed continually developing her practice and exploring a variety of approaches. She focusses on individuals and their requirements with emphasis on rehabilitation . Diane was introduced to Pilates when she herself used it as part of her post sugical recovery programme. From foundational exercises to a more athletic approach she encourages her clients to always remain true to the principles of pilates. Her passion for Pilates and the progression and development of all of her clients will be evident.
